Hybrid, Duisburg
Full-time
Permanent employee

Your role

Create sustainable value with us.
Franz Haniel & Cie. GmbH is a 100 percent family-owned company, headquartered in Duisburg since its foundation in 1756. It manages a portfolio of independent businesses and other investments with the goal to create value for generations.
Haniel is going through major changes, with a newly defined long-term strategy based on two pillars:
  • A portfolio of independent businesses, managed with a long-term objective to create value for generations. This means portfolio companies are a basis to secure dividends for the shareholders while being actively managed in order to generate long-term returns. Currently, the Haniel portfolio which is present in almost 50 countries comprises ten Portfolio Companies: BauWatch, BekaertDeslee, CWS Clean Rooms, CWS Fire Safety, CWS Hygiene, CWS WorkWear, EMMA, KMK Kinderzimmer, ROVEMA and TAKKT. Additionally, Haniel is one of the anchor shareholders of CECONOMY.
  • A separate investment pillar is currently being developed. This newly created investment vehicle will manage a diversified portfolio of geographically spread investments in multiple types of asset classes.
Longer term, the objective is to have a suitably weighed share of the assets value between the two pillars of Haniel while creating value for generations.
